GCM Services

We offer a number of services designed to help meet the challenges faced by families and individuals here in our community.

FOOD PANTRY

We provide emergency food for the elderly, the disabled, homeless, and the working poor with families during times when food is otherwise unavailable due to limited incomes. A 2 day supply is given to each member of the household every 28 days. Must apply in person M-Thurs. 9am-1pm. A picture ID and SS Card or SS Print-out required. Must show proof of income.

USDA Food

GCM is a distributor for USDA food. Food is distributed 1 time a month. Call 352-372-8162 for the next distribution date. Must be a resident of Alachua County and have a photo ID.

clothing closet

We provide clothing to families who have lost everything due to fire or other disaster. We also provide needed clothing for those who cannot afford to buy clothing due to financial crisis.  Monday to Thursday 9am to 12pm.

GCM's CROSSroads in Careers

CROSSroads is GCM's new career mentoring program facilitated by Tom Robertson. This program is made to provide support, resources, and education for those seeking employment or are in career transition, using Biblical principles through individual mentoringand small group meetings crafted in a 5-step plan.

GRU UTILITY ASSISTANCE

We have limited funds and can not assist everyone. Walk-ins are not accepted. Clients must call only one time. Call 352-372-8646 on Tuesday between 8 and 8:30 am to make an appointment. On message machine leave your Name, Phone Number, and Last Four Digits of SS#. Appointments are tightly scheduled in order to assist as many people as possible. We can not just squeeze you in because that would delay other people's appointments. Due to limited funding we can only offer this service to a client one time. you want to share with your visitors.

GCM DENTAL CLINIC

You must register with GCM in person Mon-Thurs 9am and 12pm. Must show proof of income, SS Card and photo ID. For information call 352-548-4806. Minimal fees for services based on income.

IDENTIFICATION

Assistance with replacement ID's. Must go to Holy Trinity Episcopal located at 100 NE 1st Street 352-372-4721 to receive a voucher to bring to GCM.  Vouchers are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

MEDICAL CLINIC

​The Mobile Outreach Clinic is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. You must have an appointment to be seen. Walk-ins are available on Friday mornings ONLY at 8:00 a.m. First come, first serve. To make an appointment, please call 352-273-5329 or visit outreach.med.ufl.edu.

PRAYER TIME

Prayer and spiritual counseling available anytime upon request.

ged

GCM provides a GED program for anyone wishing to get a High School Diploma. The program consists of individual tutoring and mentoring with all test expenses paid for committed students. Must apply in person Monday-Thursday 9am-1:00pm

SPECIAL NEEDS

Provided to clients after evaluation.
